Brobyggerne is looking for a membership coordinator

Would you like to use your background in sales, marketing, or fundraising to make a real difference for democratic culture in Denmark? Then you should apply for the position of Membership Coordinator at Brobyggerne.

Here's what you need to do

As the membership coordinator, it is your responsibility to ensure that we generate as much revenue as possible from our regular supporters (members) and one-time donors.

Our membership is larger than that of many political parties. We’re proud of that, but we also know we can reach even greater heights—and that there’s plenty of untapped potential in the members we already have. That’s why, in the coming period, we want to focus more on recruiting and retaining members and donors and tapping into the potential of our membership base.

As a Member Relations Manager, you will play a key role in developing and testing innovative campaigns and activities that engage our members and, above all, deliver results.

This means, among other things, that you must:

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that we meet our budget targets
  • Develop and implement strategies for how we can best recruit and retain members and donors
  • Implement initiatives that retain our members and maximize their LTV (Lifetime Value)
  • Continuously optimize the member experience
  • Develop content and new formats—both written and video—for our channels (newsletter, website, and social media) that can enhance the member experience
  • Be skilled at identifying current topics in public discourse and using them as a starting point for coffee-and-conversation events and campaigns

Who are you?

You are a fundraiser who is analytically strong, commercially minded, and a strong executor.

We’d prefer that you have a background in sales and marketing or a related field. What matters most to us is that you have the drive that defines a good salesperson or fundraiser. You love taking on responsibility and work independently and in an organized manner. You thrive on coordinating and managing many different activities at the same time. And you’re motivated by working toward KPIs.

  • You need to have a commercial and strategic mindset
  • You have experience in this field
  • You have basic technical skills and are able to work with systems such as WordPress, MailChimp, and Canva
  • You’re a skilled communicator and know what it takes to convey a clear and understandable message with a distinct angle
  • You need to be skilled at understanding and using data to make better decisions
  • And you need to be adaptable and ready to put new ideas into action

You’ll be part of a small office team based in downtown Copenhagen. Because we’re a small team, who you are as a person will play a big role in shaping us and the culture we have in the office. We place a high priority on camaraderie and have fun, even when things get busy. And we’re better at getting things done than we are at holding long meetings.

The position will be tailored to the right candidate. Therefore, we offer the option of full-time or part-time employment, or employment as a consultant, subject to further agreement.

A little about us

Almost seven years ago, we launched Brobyggerne – Center for Dialogkaffe. Brobyggerne was founded to strengthen dialogue, tolerance, and understanding among people with different views, values, and ways of life. We aim to foster a society that resolves its conflicts and disagreements through words and reason—not through violence and threats.

Today, there are just a handful of us working in the secretariat, and the association has more than 9,000 members.

We work to build bridges through projects, courses, and activities across the country, and we are now looking for a talented colleague to take charge of our members.
