In our bridge-building work, we meet many different people all over the country. And everywhere we meet people who have experienced discrimination and prejudice. In our meetings, many people also become particularly aware of their own prejudices... because we all have prejudices.
In collaboration with the municipality of Copenhagen, Bridge Builders has trained a corps of storytellers who are ready to go out across the country to share their stories of discrimination and prejudice.
Whether we meet the students during Bridge Builder Week, the association, the company or the employees in a municipality, we have learned that what works is to meet a real person. A real person who has experienced first-hand how it feels to be discriminated against. It is by sharing these stories that we can gain a better understanding of each other and shake our own prejudices.
