Bridgebuilder participants invited to interfaith Ramadan dinner

On April 19, 2022, a Ramadan dinner was held at Tingbjerg Kulturhus where approximately 70 participants of all ages attended. The event, which was for all faiths as well as non-believers, was organized by participants from our Bridge Builder program, who as part of their education are tasked with creating their own bridge-building activities. And it's safe to say that Bente Simone Jæger, Denis Anthony, Güler Yagci and Waffa Khanjer organized a huge success - despite not knowing each other at all beforehand.

The evening was filled with music, speeches, tradition and the most delicious food! There were speeches from religious leaders from different faiths, Secretary General of the Bridge Builders, Özlem Cekic, spoke about bridge building and dialog, and Isam B provided the musical element when he performed his beautiful song 'Ramadan in Copenhagen'. In addition to the entertaining and interesting presentations, the evening offered a cozy get-together with bridge-building games and conversation - and of course with the sumptuous vegetarian dinner in the center. It's amazing to see what the skilled and dedicated students from the Bridge Builder program are able to accomplish, and we can't wait to see and participate in many other bridge-building activities from the many students around the country.
